CPD Approved for 1 hour

For many lawyers indecisiveness is a serious problem. It causes procrastination and creates delays in making necessary and crucial choices. It can also manifest as confusion or doubt in employment and personal relationships. Decision making skills, although critical to professional success, are rarely taught in law schools. This workshop is about learning a structured way of making decisions which will improve your competence and reduce stress. It will be particularly helpful to those who are facing difficult or important decisions and having trouble deciding what to do.

Options for Lawyers is a networking, education and support group for lawyers making job or career transitions and for lawyers wishing to examine their options both personally and professionally.

This group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 12:15 p.m. to

1:30 p.m. in Vancouver at the LAP office, 1080 Mainland Street, Suite 415.

For further information, please call the LAP at 604-685-2171.

This free workshop will be facilitated by Jerry Steele, B.A., M.A., J.D. and Matt Heemskerk, B.A., L.L.B. , Dip. TC.  Jerry is an Associate Director with LAP, and has more than 10 years of clinical counselling experience. Matt is an Associate Director with LAP, practised law for 9 years at a downtown law firm and has assisted many lawyers with successful transitions in their lives.
