Psychological research demonstrates that 50% of the variance in happiness is genetic, 10% is determined by life circumstances, and 40% is determined by your actions, attitudes or optimism, and the way you handle situations. Many lawyers overemphasize the impact of life circumstances and live in perpetual “I’ll be happy when….” Others are confused by what needs to change, or what is most effective in increasing happiness in their life. This workshop looks at happiness myths and research-based evidence regarding what you can do to increase the level of happiness in your life, which will improve your efficiency and productivity at work.

This workshop will be facilitated by Bena W. Stock., LL.B., M.C.,  R.C.C Bena is an Associate Director and Counsellor for the Lawyers Assistance Program.  Bena practised law for 24 years and has helped many lawyers through difficult situations, career transitions, and dealing with anxiety, depression and trauma.
