CPD Approved for 1.25 Hours

Transitions are an inevitable part of our lives and the natural part of being human. However, transitions can also be difficult, painful and confusing. With the digital explosion, many people find that transitions are compounding and accelerating through the life cycle. Whether you are in a transition at this time or in the process of contemplating change, this workshop is for you. In this workshop, you will develop a deeper understanding of your existing transition strategies and your personal style of responding to change through Mindful and Cognitive-Based Strategies. This understanding will facilitate the creation of a personal action plan that is grounded in your strengths and resilience capacities.

Options for Lawyers is a networking, education and support group for lawyers making job or career transitions and for lawyers wishing to examine their options both personally and professionally.  All LAP workshops are confidential and independent from the Law Society.

This group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 12:15PM to 1:30PM in Vancouver at the LAP office, 1080 Mainland Street, Suite 415.

For further information, please call the Lawyers Assistance Program at 604-685-2171 or just drop into a meeting.

This workshop will be facilitated by Susan Burak  J.D., M.A., R.C.C., Susan is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Associate Director for the Lawyers Assistance Program. Susan practised law for over 20 years, taught both locally and internationally, and has successfully helped many Lawyers through depression, anxiety and difficult life and career transitions.
