Options Workgroup – “Making the Best Decisions in the Worst Situations” – 1.25 CPD Credits – July 18, 2018

Lawyers have to make good decisions. However, distress and anxiety cause your decision-making abilities to suffer making personal and professional relationships challenging. This workshop is about learning how to deal with distress and anxiety, so you can make good decisions even in difficult situations. You will learn techniques to stop the procrastination and perfectionism that comes with poor decision-making abilities. Some of these skills have been proven to improve focus and memory.

Options for Lawyers is a networking, education and support group for lawyers making job or career transitions and for lawyers wishing to examine their options both personally and professionally.  All LAP workshops are confidential and independent from the Law Society.

This group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Vancouver at the LAP office, 1080 Mainland Street, Suite 415.

This free workshop will be facilitated by Susan Burak, J.D., M.A., R.C.C. Susan is a registered clinical counsellor and Associate Director with LAP.  She practised law for 25 years and assists many lawyers with making decisions and dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, and challenges with career and life transitions.
